Privacy Policy

The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to us. We process your data exclusively on the basis of legal provisions (GDPR, TKG 2003). In this data protection information, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within the framework of our website.

1. Controller for Data Processing

Data processing on this website is carried out by the cooperation partners of the “Wörthersee Giro” project as joint controllers:

  • FB38 Betriebs GmbH (Seehotel Hubertushof)

  • AC 911 HOTELBETRIEBSGmbH (Villa Bulfon)

  • Hoogerland OG (Pension Hoogerland)

Details about the companies can be found in our Legal Notice (Imprint).

2. Contact Forms & Communication

If you contact us via the form on the website or by email, the data you provide will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions.

  • Purpose: Processing of booking inquiries or general information regarding the Wörthersee Giro.

  • Allocation: Since each accommodation has its own form, the data entered there is primarily transmitted to the respective business.

  • Storage period: We store this data for six months or for the duration of legal retention obligations in the event of a contract conclusion.

3. Cookies & Consent Management

Our website uses cookies to make the offer user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. We use a consent management tool (cookie banner) to obtain your consent for analysis and marketing cookies. No non-essential cookies will be set without your consent.

4. Google Tag Manager

We use the Google Tag Manager. This service allows website tags to be managed via an interface. The Tag Manager itself (which implements the tags) does not collect any personal data. It merely ensures the triggering of other tags, which in turn may collect data (see below).

5. Web Analysis (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics (Provider: Google Ireland Limited).

  • Function: Analysis of website usage (duration of visit, origin, clicks).

  • IP Anonymization: We use the “anonymizeIp” function, which shortens your IP address within the EU/EEA.

  • Legal basis: Consent via cookie banner (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

  • Objection: You can prevent tracking by using the Google browser plugin.

6. Facebook Pixel & Facebook Advertising

We use the Facebook Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.).

  • Purpose: Measuring conversions of Facebook ads (“Conversion Tracking”) and creating target groups for personalized advertising (Retargeting).

  • Data transfer: Facebook can track your user behavior across multiple websites and assign it to your Facebook profile.

  • Legal basis: Consent via cookie banner (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR).

7. Data Security & Cloud Services

For the management of booking inquiries, we partially use cloud-based software solutions (e.g., Kognitiv). Data processing agreements have been concluded with these service providers to ensure that your data is protected.

8. Your Rights

In principle, you have the following rights:

  • Right to access your stored data

  • Right to rectification of incorrect data

  • Right to erasure of your data

  • Right to restriction of processing

  • Right to data portability

  • Right to withdraw granted consent

If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, you can complain to the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna).
